Samsung Galaxy S8 Specs
Description
With the Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung is aiming to set a new benchmark, defining what a modern smartphone should look and feel like. Without a doubt, the most striking feature of the device is its curved Infinity Display that visually stretches from edge to edge. The screen is also taller, allowing the phone to be manageable in one hand, all while providing plentiful display space. Like it or not, the physical buttons have been replaced with on-screen ones, while the fingerprint scanner has been re-positioned on the back. The camera is similar to the one on the Galaxy S7, but the improved software allows the phone to deliver better photos by stitching areas of multiple frames together. On the hardware front, the Snapdragon 835 provides plenty of processing power, all while being more energy efficient than its predecessors.
This device is also known as Samsung SM-G950U, Samsung SM-G950F, Samsung SM-G950FD

User Reviews
A fantastic and still useful device but now regarded as outdated technology. Great performance and functionality during it's time of dominance. Phone call and camera quality is quite good despite no longer being granted software support by the manufacturer. Newer devices have replaced it with better performance features.
- Great features during it's reign
- Software updates no longer available.
I have owned this phone for over four years. Android 9 still works really well, and the camera is AMAZING for the money. The only real issue is the screen. Screen burn-in is a massive issue with this phone. Otherwise, its amazing!
I had to use a Galaxy S8 from May 2022 until October 2022, following my P30 Pro breaking, and despite it being a 5.5 year old phone, it's still a decent phone, really the only downside to using it these days is the fact you're stuck on Android Pie. I know the Galaxy S8 is considered the world's most fragile phone, but the build quality on mine was decent as well. Sadly the NAND on mine is beginning to die. Some games may not run well due to it's age.
- Great camera
- 1440p screen
- USB-C
- MicroSD Slot
- Bootloader is not unlockable, therefore no custom ROMs.
- Fingerprint sensor location is odd
